Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said that 13 people have died and 98 have been injured in a train derailment in the southern state of Oaxaca.

At least 13 people died, and 98 were injured after a passenger train derailed in southern Mexico, Oaxaca Governor Salomon Jara’s office confirmed in a statement.

Of those on board, 139 were reported to be out of danger, while 98 were injured, including 36 who were receiving medical assistance.
